Looking for an app that finally sorts out the internal links on your Shopify store? Shopify gives you no report of under-linked pages, no broken link check and no way to add links in bulk: every link goes in by hand, page by page. We tested the main options, from keyword rules to fully automatic linking. Here are the 5 best internal linking Shopify apps in 2026:

The 5 best internal linking Shopify apps in 2026
SEO Alpin : Internal Linking
Improve internal linking SEO by automatically inserting links between your pages.
- Finds the pages and posts that almost nothing links to
- Surfaces semantically related pages using Search Console data
- Inserts internal links manually or in bulk
- Detects broken 404s and fixes them with 301 redirects
- AI picks the anchor text and the sentence the link belongs in
If you want to approve every link yourself, this one costs nothing. It reads your Search Console data to find under-linked and semantically related pages, blog posts included, suggests each link with an AI-chosen anchor and the sentence it belongs in, then inserts them one by one or in bulk. Broken 404s get fixed with 301 redirects from the same screen. The trade-off is time: nothing goes live without your click, which leaves nothing to chance but turns a big catalog into several sessions. It writes no content of its own.
- Turns finished articles into links toward the products and collections they should be selling
- Bulk insertion of AI-suggested links, with related pages found from your Search Console data
- Fixes broken 404s with 301 redirects, free
- Interface in French only (not translated into English)
- Every link needs your approval, so a large catalog takes several sessions
Best for: Stores whose blog gets traffic but sends almost nobody to a product page
“Bonne application pour insérer des liens entre mes produits, mes collections et mes articles de blog.”TANYA, France
Automatic Linking ‑ InterLinks
Intelligently links existing words in your store to collections & products.
- Auto-links any word or phrase to the destination URL you choose
- Linking rules run across products, collections, pages and blog posts
- Works with most translation apps to adjust the links for each language
- Link reports and performance analytics on the paid plan
- Bundles an AI blog post generator and a 404 redirect tool
InterLinks is a rule engine. You give it a word or phrase and a destination, and it links that word across your products, collections, pages and posts, with room for 5,000 active keywords on the $19 plan. We liked the control: nothing gets linked that you did not ask for. The flip side is that every keyword is yours to pick and maintain, so the linking is only as good as the list you keep. Its reviewers keep coming back to the support, and one had a theme bug fixed within half a day.
- Full control: only the words you choose get linked, to the URL you choose
- Interface in 18 languages, and it works with most translation apps
- Support singled out in six of its ten most recent reviews
- The free plan covers a single link, so it is a demo rather than a plan
- Rules are set up keyword by keyword, which takes time on a large catalog
Best for: Stores that already know which keyword should point to which collection
“I just tried creating a blog post, and the automatic internal linking made adding internal links incredibly easy. It saved me a ton of time and found linking opportunities I would have likely missed.”Annies Hallmark & Gretchens Hallmark, United States
SEO Alpin : AI SEO Optimizer
SEO Alpin saves you time by optimizing the visibility and speed of your store.
- Automatic internal linking built on each page's target keyword, new pages included
- Detect and fix broken links to avoid 404 errors
- AI generation of meta tags and missing image alt text
- Duplicate content and cannibalization detection
- Google Search Console and GA4 connection
This is the one we switched on and stopped thinking about. Its automatic internal linking finds the products, articles and main collections that too few pages link to, and adds links from related pages: on a word already in the text, or inside a short on-topic sentence written into an existing paragraph, with anchors drawn from the target’s keyword and varied from one link to the next. On our test store it went through 55 pages in under four minutes and placed 28 links. New pages join a later pass after three days. Broken link, duplicate and cannibalization checks come bundled.
- Links under-linked pages on its own, within a monthly credit budget you set
- Anchors drawn from each page's target keyword, placed inside related paragraphs
- Broken links, duplicates, cannibalization and AI meta tags in the same app
- Automatic linking needs a paid plan and spends one credit per link (200 credits a month on Pro)
- A pass can be undone in one click only during the first 24 hours
Best for: Stores that want every page linked by keyword without doing it by hand
“Super app qui m'accompagne au quotidien dans mon analyse et l'amélioration de mon SEO ! Je recommande fortement !!”La Maison des Rideaux, France
Link Whisper
BUILDING SMART INTERNAL LINKS JUST GOT EASIER
- Internal linking suggestions
- Keyword-based automatic linking
- Detailed internal link reports
- Regular broken link scans
- Click tracking on your links
Link Whisper made its name on WordPress, and the Shopify version shows it. The feature set is the one SEOs know: link suggestions, keyword auto-linking, link reports, broken link scans and click tracking, for $7 a month. The hard part is getting it to run. Six of its 13 reviews are one star, and four of those describe an app that will not load (a permissions error, a 404, a blank page), the latest in April 2025. The publisher replied in February 2026 that it has since overhauled the Shopify version.
- Full feature set on a single $7 plan
- Link suggestions, keyword auto-linking and click tracking in one place
- Broken link scans included
- Four of its six one-star reviews describe an app that will not load
- One reviewer says the app asks for $7 at install, with no usable trial
Best for: Link Whisper users on WordPress who want the same tool on Shopify
“Please invest more resources into this app. It's a crucial service for any serious website builder. It has some bugs and doesn't work sometimes, but if you're serious about building an optimized website, you have to have it.”The Trade Table, United States
Juice SEO ‑ Internal linking
Automate internal linking, supercharge SEO and rankings with Juice SEO app
- Internal linking rules applied to new and existing blog posts
- Add, edit and delete internal links in bulk
- Anchor text analysis to spread anchors evenly
- Free plan limited to 3 links
Juice SEO applies linking rules to your posts: you set the rules, it adds, edits or removes the links in bulk, and its anchor text analysis shows which pages get too few links. That analysis is what its one happy reviewer praises. The other two reviews are why it sits last: both describe articles left broken, one with links replaced by rows of “AAAA” (the merchant suspects a hack), the other with subheadings swapped between posts. Back up your blog before the first run.
- Anchor text analysis shows which pages receive too few links
- Bulk add, edit and delete of internal links
- Unlimited links for $6.99 a month
- Two of its three reviews describe articles left broken
- Little control over where links are excluded, such as bold text
Best for: Blogs that mainly want an anchor text audit
“Finally, an SEO app that runs within Shopify- this app has been super useful so far! The anchor text analyzer is super useful. I didn't realize my money pages only had a few links pointing to each of them.”Sunlight Spa Supply, United States
So which would we install? Our first pick is SEO Alpin : Internal Linking: it does one job, internal linking, finds the pages that need links from your Search Console data, suggests the anchor and the sentence for each one, and costs nothing. Nothing goes live without your click. If you would rather have the job done and kept done without approving each link, SEO Alpin links your under-linked pages automatically by keyword, new ones included, which is where the hours (and the agency invoice) are saved. It needs a paid plan and spends one credit per link. InterLinks is the stronger choice when you already know exactly which keyword should point to which collection. Link Whisper and Juice SEO cost less than InterLinks’ paid plan, but read their reviews before you trust them with your content. Whichever you pick, the right app is the one that closes your store’s actual gap, so start by finding the pages nothing links to, run a page-level SEO analysis on the ones that sell, and check for keyword cannibalization before you choose your anchors: two pages fighting for the same keyword should not both receive it. Internal linking on Shopify: quick FAQ
What is internal linking on a Shopify store?
It is every link from one page of your store to another: an article pointing to a product, a product to its collection, a collection to a guide. Google uses links to find new pages and to judge how relevant they are, and the anchor text tells it what the target page is about (Google Search Central).
How many internal links should a page receive?
Google gives no number, only a floor: every page you care about should have a link from at least one other page on your site (Google Search Central). The rule we work with is three links in the body text for a product or an article, and more for a collection, with pages that receive none at all fixed first.
Does Shopify have a built-in internal linking tool?
Not beyond the basics. You insert links one at a time in the rich text editor of a product, collection, page or blog post (Shopify Help Center), and you build navigation menus (Shopify Help Center). There is no report of under-linked pages and no bulk insertion, which is the gap these apps fill.
Is automatic internal linking safe for SEO?
Yes, as long as the links read naturally. Google asks for anchor text that is descriptive, concise and relevant, and warns that cramming keywords into anchors is keyword stuffing, a breach of its spam policies (Google Search Central). Pick an app that varies its anchors and lets you review or undo what it adds.
Should internal links go in the menu or in the text?
Both, for different jobs. A menu link appears on every page and makes a collection easy to reach; a link inside a paragraph carries an anchor surrounded by context, which is what tells readers and Google why the target page matters. Most of the missing links on a store are the second kind.
